Fortunately our premises are such that access for all our customers is very easy however if you do need assistance to access the pharmacy please ask any of the assistants who should be able to help.

Dispensing Prescriptions

Our pharmacists are available to dispense both NHS and private prescriptions. They will be able to give you advice on your prescribed medicine/s and if there are any other medicines you should avoid taking. Your medicine/s will be clearly labelled with appropriate warnings – e.g., if your medicine may cause drowsiness, if alcohol should be avoided, etc.

Emergency Supplies

If you need one of your regular medicines in an emergency when you are unable to contact your doctor, we may be able to help. We must stress that this can only be done in genuine emergencies and this may incur a charge.

Health Advice and Self-Care

The pharmacist and our trained assistants are available for give advice on medicines and minor ailments, in private if required. We can also give you advice on how to live a healthy life, for example, advice on how to stop smoking, follow healthy diets, life style changes etc.
We can direct you to other sources of advice if we cannot help you ourselves.

Holiday Requirements

If you are going on holiday we can advise you on remedies and sensible precautions to avoid sunburn, tummy upset, malaria and other holiday risks.

Medicine Containers

All medicines are dispensed in child resistant containers unless you request us not to. If you have difficulty in opening child resistant containers please let us know. Patient Medication Records

Our computer system allows us to keep records of all your prescriptions dispensed by us. Apart from knowing the history of the prescribed medicines our system helps us to check and indeed minimize potential problems because we get alerts, for example on drug interactions and diet restrictions for certain medicines.
We comply with the Data Protection Act and the NHS code of practice on confidentiality.

Repeat Dispensing

We provide this service to NHS patients who are given repeat prescription for their medicines. It involves our close liaison with your GP, for the issue, collection and dispensing of batches of prescriptions submitted in one go but for periodic dispensing for long-term use without your visits or requests to the surgery.

Repeat Prescription Collection Service

We offer a repeat prescription collection service from selected local surgeries. Please ask for details.
